Preparing for Your Personal Brand Portrait

We want to make sure that you love your new business photo images and professional or personal brand portrait. Check out these photography tips to help us capture your best image.

Clothing

Wear something that you like and bring two alternate choices. There is no right or wrong choice. What's important is that you are comfortable in your clothing and that you feel good wearing it. If you feel good in what you are wearing, you will exude confidence.

In general, solids are better than patterns. V-necks are better than scoop necks (for women). Long sleeves are better than short. Simple is better. Avoid solid white or black. Keep jewelry to a minimum, unless it is your signature look.

Avoid

Hair and makeup

Please arrive camera-ready. You should wear your hair and makeup the way you would when you are trying to look professional and approachable. Don't overdo it, but feel good about your appearance. We have hair stylists and professional make-up artists conveniently located right in our building and will gladly schedule appointments for you before your session.

Hands and nails

We may get close-ups of your hands and fingernails, so make sure your nails are neat and trimmed.

What about blemishes or wrinkles?

No worries, your images will receive standard retouching and will be ready for use when they are delivered to you. Additional Photoshop editing is available at $50/hour.
